All members, especially our overseas members are welcome to attend the annual Study Day (space permitting!). It moves around the UK each year allowing us to explore and visit different gardens which are organised for the afternoon of the study day. The morning includes two lectures and a members’ plant sale which is always popular! If possible, we try to organise garden visits for the preceding and succeeding days so you can make a weekend of it.
For the past few years, we’ve arranged a Snowdrop Supper on the prior Sat. evening, a sociable occasion to share with like-minded friends!
Galanthus Booklet
The HPS Galanthus booklet is available here at a price of £10.00 for members and £12.00 for non-members.

Past Events
AGM & Study Day, Sunday, February 9th, 2026
Our 15th Study Day and AGM was held at Saint Felix School, Halesworth Road, Reydon, Southwold, Suffolk. Following refreshments on arrival from 8.30 am, the members’ plant sale quickly followed. The brief AGM was succeeded by two superb presentations, our member Anne Repnow flew across from Germany to present her lecture “The Show Goes On….and On,” then Norfolk member Brian Ellis followed with ‘South of the border – some Suffolk snowdrops” The afternoon visits were to both Brenda Foster’s Gable House and Rainbow Farm, owned by Michael and Anne Broadhurst, both in Redisham, Suffolk where the gardens offered lovely snowdrop displays, more plants for sale and of course much welcome scrummy tea. The preceding evening’s Snowdrop Supper at Ringsfield Village Hall, was more popular than ever and was followed by an after-dinner presentation by John Fielding “My Encounters with Snowdrops” a sociable occasion with much snowdrop talk and a lovely atmosphere! All in all, a superb weekend for The HPS Galanthus Group.
