The Kent Group of the Hardy Plant Society were delighted to be offered the opportunity to return to exhibit at this year’s prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.
As a regular participant at Plant Fairs Roadshow locally for many years the Kent Group of the Hardy Plant Society were delighted to be offered the opportunity to return to exhibit at this year’s prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Due to the relatively short lead in time, the group has opted for a smaller display than previously of 2m x 2m and the theme will be ‘Hardy Plants for Small Gardens’.
The team creating the display is made up of four HPS members with Colin Moat (previously of Pineview Plants), Anne Smith, Alison Crayford and Sheila Wyver, all of whom were part of the Silver-Gilt medal winning team for the Kent Groups display in 2015.
Colin commented that ‘the display is to offer ideas and inspiration to the gardeners who may be moving and downsizing, and also to the younger generation, possibly first-time buyers, to show the exciting range of plants that could be used, both in sun and in shade’
