- Reason: Unusual quilled petals giving a spidery appearance. Provides a contrasting form in a mixed border.

- Description: Herbaceous perennial with spidery, quilled petals.
- Dimensions: 90cm x 60cm
- Flowers: Lemon yellow, quilled
- Foliage: Mid-green
- Soil: Free-draining and moisture retentive
- Aspect: Full sun
- Pests: Slugs, eelworm, rust, leaf spot
- Cultivation: Grows best in a sunny border. Use a general fertiliser in the spring, and may benefit from a light drench of liquid seaweed in June. Hardy to H4 (-10c to -5c / 14f to23f)
- Propagation: Divide every 3-5 years, or propagate by cuttings.
