- Reason: HPS connection; discovered by Jane Sterndale-Bennett, former HPS Chairman, in her garden White Windows, Hampshire.

- Description: Clump forming succulent perennial.
- Dimensions: 30cm x 30cm
- Flowers: Rounded clusters of plum coloured star-shaped flowers.
- Foliage: Ovate glaucous leaves with red tinge on red stems.
- Soil: Any well-drained soil.
- Aspect: Full sun
- Pests: Generally no problems.
- Cultivation: Drought tolerant plant. Produces a bushy clump of foliage (usually at the expense of flowers) if cut back by one third in May.
- Propagation: Pieces pulled away at the base root easily in gritty compost or take stem cuttings.
