- Reason: Bred by Jennifer Hewitt, British Iris Society Registrar and named for her son-in-law. Registered in 2003. Awarded an RHS AGM in 2008 and the Dykes Medal in 2011 by the British Iris Society.

- Description: Rhizomatous herbaceous perennial.
- Dimensions: 75cm x 50cm
- Flowers: Standards: lilac-pink. Falls: pinkish-red with small white signals edged violet. Style arms: pale pink and turquoise.
- Foliage: Deciduous. Narrow grassy foliage.
- Soil: Any moisture-retentive soil.
- Aspect: Full sun or part-shade
- Pests: Generally no problems.
- Cultivation: Benefits from application of organic mulch in spring. Remove spent flower stems and any dying foliage.
- Propagation: Divide established clumps.
