- Reason: Old variety dating back to 1930's. First listed in RHS Plant Finder in 1988. Originally bred as 'Neubert' which should take precedence.

- Description: Herbaceous, clump-forming perennial.
- Dimensions: 100cm x 50cm
- Flowers: Bright carmine-pink flowers with a slightly deeper eye. Fragrant.
- Foliage: Red-flushed green lance shaped leaves. Foliage often poor along lower third of stems.
- Soil: Any moisture-retentive soil.
- Aspect: Full sun or part-shade
- Pests: May be affected by powdery mildew in dry weather. Phlox eelworm.
- Cultivation: Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Cut back to ground level in late autumn.
- Propagation: Divide established clumps in spring or autumn or take basal cuttings in spring or strike from root cuttings in late autumn.
