Conservation Scheme information for Zantedeschia aethiopica ‘Glencoe’

Reason: Identified as a vigorous and very floriferous form of Z. aethiopica by HPS member.
Verified by: HPS member , Keith Ferguson, who discovered this plant in his garden and named it after the garden.
Description: A large, showy, tuberous perennial for moist soil. May be evergreen or deciduous.
Dimensions: 110cm x 150cm
Flowers: Large pure white flower spathes 15-20cm long x 12-15cm wide
Foliage: Large dark green leaves which may be retained through the winter or die back completely.
Soil: Any moisture-retentive soil.
Aspect: Full sun or part-shade
Pests: Generally no problems.
Cultivation: Plants respond well to rich soils and regular mulching although it does not do well in water and in very wet soils it dies down over winter and may not produce new shoots until May.
Propagation: Divide established clumps or detach and pot on offsets.
