  • Reason: Given a First Class Certificate at RHS Flower Shows and grows well. Bought from a Plant Fair at Hergest Croft Garden.
  • Verified by: 0
  • Description: Upright herbaceous perennial.
  • Dimensions: 75cm x 30cm
  • Flowers: Panicles of flowers can be up to 30cm long, each flower is white with a faint purplish mark in the throat and bright yellow anthers. Scented.
  • Foliage: Narrow, glossy, dark green leaves on strong stems.
  • Soil: Any moisture-retentive soil.
  • Aspect: Full sun or part-shade
  • Pests: May be affected by powdery mildew in dry weather. Phlox eelworm.
  • Cultivation: Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Cut back to ground level in late autumn. Sturdy grower that does not usually need support.
  • Propagation: Divide established clumps in spring or autumn or take basal cuttings in spring or strike from root cuttings in late autumn.
